Our Standards

Quality you can audit, not just claim

Every batch passes through a disciplined eleven-stage process — from raw cashew nut procurement to final export dispatch — under one roof, with full control over moisture, hygiene and handling.

Process Control

Eleven stages, one facility

Because we own the unit rather than outsourcing, a problem at any stage is ours to find and ours to fix — before it reaches your warehouse.

1Raw cashew nut procurement from Konkan growers

Raw Cashew Procurement

Raw nuts bought from our own plantations and known Konkan growers, recorded lot-wise so origin stays traceable.

2Raw cashew nut cleaning and size grading

Cleaning & Grading

Incoming nuts cleaned of field debris and size-graded, so each batch cooks and shells evenly.

3Steam cooking of raw cashew nuts

Steam Cooking

Controlled steam conditioning softens the shell so the kernel releases whole. Time and pressure held in a narrow band to avoid scorching.

4Cashew shelling machine

Shelling

Automatic cutting and shelling releases the kernel from the shell, maximising whole-kernel recovery.

5Automatic cashew scooping machine

Scooping

The kernel is lifted clear of the cut shell on our scooping line — the step that decides how much of the lot stays whole.

6Cashew peeling machine

Peeling

Borma drying loosens the testa; peeling and hand finishing follow to leave a clean ivory-white kernel.

7Automatic cashew colour sorter and grading line

Grading & Sorting

Automatic colour sorting and size grading separate the kernels into W180 through baby bits. Off-colour kernels are removed here.

8Tray dryer used for cashew kernel moisture conditioning

Drying

A tray dryer brings every lot to its target moisture — the single biggest factor in shelf life and transit safety.

9Cashew kernel quality inspection

Quality Inspection

Moisture, colour, count per pound, broken percentage and foreign matter verified against the contracted specification.

10Vacuum packing of cashew kernels

Vacuum & Nitrogen Packing

Sealed into 10 kg vacuum pouches or tins, with nitrogen flushing available, then cartoned at 22.68 kg.

11Dispatch and export of cashew kernels

Dispatch & Export

Palletised, labelled and documented. Domestic transport across India or container export through JNPT, Mumbai.

Checkpoints

What we actually measure

These are the parameters that decide whether a lot ships or gets held back. We are happy to agree written tolerances against your own specification before a contract is confirmed.

  • Incoming RCN inspection — raw nut quality assessed lot-wise before it enters the line
  • Moisture check — the single biggest driver of shelf life and mould risk in transit
  • Metal detection — finished kernels screened before packing
  • Automatic colour sorting — off-colour kernels removed optically, not by eye alone
  • Automatic grading — count per 454 g verified so a W240 really is a W240
  • Visual quality check — a trained final look before anything is sealed
  • Vacuum seal verification — a failed seal never leaves the unit

Food Safety

Hygiene practice on the floor

Hygienic handling

Gloves, head covering and hand-wash discipline for staff in scooping, peeling, grading and packing — the stages where kernels are touched directly.

Batch traceability

Intake, processing and packing recorded lot-wise, so a finished carton can be traced back to a procurement batch.

Controlled storage

Finished kernels held in sealed packs in dry, ventilated storage until dispatch — not decanted or re-handled.

Trained workforce

A stable, trained team on the scooping and grading tables. Consistency in cashew comes from people who have done it for years.

Pest control management

Physical exclusion, sealed storage and monitored premises to keep pests away from raw material and finished stock.

Regular audits

Internal checks against our own standard, and we welcome buyer or third-party audits of the unit by arrangement.
